All too often, we read articles in the press that state, "some studies..." this, or "research has shown..." that, and have been unfortunately printed with no references for critical reading of the article.
Another particularly destructive myth to suffering Texans is "there are no conclusive data or scientific research studies indicating the efficacy of cannabinoid medicines," which is patently untrue (a simple Google search will dispel that myth).
TCCC is your access to more than 10,000 literature reviews, laboratory research, and human clinical trial literature on cannabinoid medicines method of action, efficacy, safety, and side effects.
In fact, there have been 37 separate human clinical trials between 2005 and 2009 alone, involving more than 2600 patients, reporting the safety and efficacy of cannabis for such severe disorders as irretractable neuropathic pain, cachexia (Wasting Syndrome), MS, PTSD, glaucoma, far more patients than would be tested for any new drug pending US FDA approval, again re-establishing the safety and efficacy of cannabinoid-based medicines after 70 years of taxpayer-funded distortions - here is the link.
And, as recent as February 2010, the Center for Medical Cannabis Research, U.C. San Diego, has published its report regarding ongoing clinical trials here in the U.S., 15 in all, with five currently completed - here is the link.
We offer this as community service to ensure only truthful and verifiable information is printed in the press.
Our lives literally depend on it.
