Abilene: (Brownwood) Medical Marijuana Case Drawing Attention

BROWNWOOD  --  Activists have filed local, state, and federal complaints, saying local law enforcement violated human rights when they arrested Christopher Diaz last month for possessing medical marijuana.

A DPS trooper pulled Diaz over near Brownwood in June and discovered California doctor-issued marijuana and hashish in his car.

Supporters say Diaz was using the substances to treat his asthma, but DPS officials say that's no excuse to bring it into texas.
